John Holt wins trophy for his excellent performance

McKinney, TX- Tahlequah’s own John Holt recently traveled to McKinney, TX where he was the Bat-Boy for the Oklahoma Titanium Elite (a 16U Class A competitive softball team from Jenks, OK playing in the 18U A Division) as they competed in the NFCA Elite College Summer Showcase.  John hustled harder than anyone else on the Team despite the 108-degree temperatures.

After the weekend showcase was over the Coaching staff including Head Coach & Manager Evan Crocker along with Assistant Coaches Mitch Goodwin, DeAndre Smith and Cathy Crocker presented John with a Trophy for his hard work and dedication throughout the entire weekend.  The entire team gave John a round of applause and they cordially invited John to be their permanent Bat-Boy.  This will give John the opportunity to travel throughout the Country with the team as they compete for National Exposure.  The team has plans to attend weekend tournaments in Tulsa Metro, OKC, NW Arkansas, McKinney, TX; Las Vegas, NV; and Hawaii over the next six months.

John is a resident of Tahlequah’s OPC Group Home and has enjoyed living here for the past eight years.  He is the son of Mark and Laura Graham of Hominy, OK and the Grandson of Juanita Whitcomb of Sperry, OK and the late Elvin and Loreta Holt of Cleveland, OK.

The next time you see John around town, be sure to congratulate him on his fine achievement.
